Shimano Backbone 5’5″ Spin Jig Rod 50-80lb

Description

Legendary construction with technique specific actions.

The Backbone has long established itself as one of the main pillars of the Shimano rod range. Offering anglers a versatile selection of blanks built on custom mandrels specifically for spinning reels. At the core of the Backbone is a blank featuring either 24T carbon for all lure models and carbon composite for all other models. The result is a lightweight and sensitive blank with exceptional lifting power and durability. To effectively leverage this, reliable componentry has been used through the build. Seaguide stainless steel zirconia guides provide trouble-free line management with both monofilament and braided lines, while graphite reel seats and slim EVA grips provide optimal comfort and performance. You can rest assured, when selecting a spin rod from the Backbone range that you have a purpose-built rod designed specifically for your fishing application.
